------------------------------------------------------------------

On a long stretch of sandy beach lies the lush and luxurious Dumaguete Resort. Newly renovated, and built around a tropical garden, Atlantis Dumaguete is located minutes away from some of the world’s best critter diving.

The frogfish capital of the Philippines, Dumaguete, with its black volcanic sandy beaches, offers divers a great opportunity to see unique macro marine life on sandy patches, hard coral reefs, and artificial reefs (including cars, various structures, and more!). From Dumaguete, you can dive over 20 coastal dive sites, the healthy reefs around Apo Island with over 400 documented species of corals (that’s 65% of the world’s corals!), the vibrant walls of Siquijor, and snorkeling with whale sharks in Oslob!

------------------------------------------------------------------

Enjoy a "Concierge Diving Service" experience. When diving with Atlantis you only set up your scuba unit one time, after that all you do is analyze a tank, and you'll find your scuba unit waiting for you on the boat. The dive team, having seen how you set up your gear, will assemble your scuba unit and take it to the boat prior to every dive. When your dive is over, while at the surface, you'll hand your camera, weight belt and scuba unit, to your dive guide who will pass each item to your boatman. You'll hand your fins to the boatman and step up the ladder with nothing on your back.

At the end of every dive day, the dive team will clean your BCD and regulators and hang them up to dry in your space in the gear locker. They will do this at the end of your trip as well.

The Resort diving schedule is as follows:

1st dive - 8:30 AM

2nd dive - 10:30 AM

Selected Dive Site Descriptions

Moalboal, Cebu

A large school of sardines resides off the main wall in Moalboal, west Cebu. It is an incredible feeling to be wrapped in hundreds of thousands of fish acting in-sync. Beautiful wide angle opportunities with a play on light.

Pescador, Cebu

With over 450 species of hard coral, Pescador Island has deep wall in the north and west, and a steep slope in the south. You can spot here pyramid butterflyfish, tuna, nudibranchs, snake eel, frog fish, barracuda and white tipped reef shark.

Gato Island, Malapascua

One of the pearls of Malapascua and a perfect spot to see both macro and big fish, famous for the chance to spot whitetip and bamboo sharks along tunnels and resting under rocks. The soft coral gardens are home to pygmy seahorses, frogfish and an array of Nudibranch and away from the reef is great for squid and bait balls.

Kimud Shoal

Kimud Shoal is a sunken island. The top lies around 12-16m and drops down to 200m+, located in the same trench as Monad Shoal, there is a chance to spot Thresher sharks, Mantas, Devil rays and Turtles. The top of the island is covered in hard coral with the sides covered in soft corals. The east side has some incredible rock formations and due to the drop off there is always the chance to see larger fish such as Tuna or Dolphins

Monad Shoal

Monad Shoal is a sunken island on the edge of a 200m drop-off and is famous as the only place in the world where thresher sharks can be seen daily. Monad Shoal also has a cleaning station where Giant manta rays are also a common sight year round along with eagle rays

Balicasag Island
